Link Users Directory with System Drive: If you have moved your Users folder to another partition or drive, link it to the one in your system drive. For this purpose:
- Go to the Start search and type Command Prompt.
- Open the command prompt with Administrative rights
- Type the command mklink C:\Users D:\Users.
- This command will link the content of Users folder in drive D to that in drive C.
You can also create and login with a new Local Account. Try starting the update from this user account and delete it after the updates are installed.
