- Step 1 : Download Systimizer – PC Cleaner Tool (Compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7 & XP)

- Sign in for the first time
- Map the location
- Ring the phone
- Lock the phone
- Erase the phone

Sign in for the first time
- Logon to windowsphone.com from a PC
- On the webpage, point your cursor on the Phone near top right corner
- Click on Find My Phone in the dropdown appearing menu
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account as that in your phone
Map the location
- Sign in to Find My Phone as mentioned in previous section
- Click on the Map to view the location of your lost phone
- To update the latest location, click Refresh
- To take out a hard copy of location, click Print
If the location of your phone were not found, the service shall keep trying and inform you when followed. Provide your email address in Account Settings at windowsphone.com
Ring the phone
- Go to Find My Phone page by signing in using Microsoft account
- Click the link stating Ring and follow the instructions
- The phone will ring even in the silent or vibrate mode
Lock the phone
- Go to Find My Phone page by signing in using Microsoft account
- Click the link stating Lock and follow the instructions
- Enter an existing lock screen password of your phone or create a new one
- With this password you can unlock your phone, when found
Erase the phone
- Go to Find My Phone page by signing in using Microsoft account
- Click the link stating Erase and follow the instructions
- On being sure, check the box stating Yes! Erase my phone immediately
If the service is unable to erase your phone immediately, it will keep trying and inform you through an email.
Change the settings
This procedure must be followed on your phone, when it is recovered or before you lose it.
- From the App list, go to Settings and then Find My Phone
- Check the boxes next to the following options
Send apps to my phone using push notifications (not SMS)
Save my phone’s location periodically and before the battery runs out to make it easier to find
This will automatically note down your phone’s location periodically or with each notification message.
