Deactivate Hybrid Shutdown to Avoid Restart and Shutdown Problems in Windows 8

  • On the Charm bar, click on the Search icon
  • In the Search box, type ‘cmd’ and select Apps in the options beneath the search box
  • In the search results, right click on Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator
  • In the Command Prompt screen, type the following command and hit Enter
  • Bcdedit/setdisabledynamictick yes
  • Now reboot your computer
